Do you dream of the freedom to drive yourself? At Ascot Driving School, you receive safe and focused instruction so you feel ready for both the theory test and the driving test. We guide you all the way – from the first lesson to the key turning in your own car.
The teaching is lively, clear, and adapted to your pace. We work with small groups, clear explanations, and realistic examples, so you quickly get a handle on the rules – and learn to use them safely and confidently behind the wheel.
Do you want to avoid the clutch and just focus on driving? With automatic transmission, you learn to drive without thinking about gear changes. Perfect for a calm start – or if you simply love the easy, smooth driving style.
If you hold a driving licence from an EU country, Iceland, Norway, or Liechtenstein, you can use it in Denmark. If you are a resident in Denmark, you may exchange it for a Danish EU driving licence without needing to take a driving test.
Here you can learn how to check the different things in the car.
No questions are too small – or too big. Contact us, and we will find the answers together.
Here you will find short and clear answers about driving licenses – from price and duration to automatic transmission, tests and reacquisition.
The price depends on your pace and any extra lessons. Our packages cover the mandatory course, so you know the base price from the start. Public fees (doctor, test fees, etc.) are paid separately.
Many complete it in 2–3 months. It depends on available test dates and how often you take lessons. We plan a course that fits your everyday life – without compromising quality.
The packages include theory, driving lessons, maneuver test and rental of a school car for the driving test. Extra lessons and public fees may be added if you need them.
Small classes, clear explanations and plenty of visual examples. We make the rules concrete and connect them to situations on the road, so you feel ready for the theory test and driving afterwards.
After the first theory lessons, we take the maneuver track, and shortly after you get out on the road. Theory and practice go hand in hand, so learning sets in from the start.
There is a legal requirement for minimum lessons, but the exact need is individual. We adapt the course so you get the hours you need – neither more nor less.
Yes. You can take the tests in a car with automatic transmission. If you choose only automatic transmission, you typically get a restriction to automatic transmission (code 78) – unless you meet the requirements below to get full rights.
Yes. If before the driving test you complete the legal requirement for manual lessons (typically 7 lessons: 4 on maneuver track and 3 on road in a manual car), you can take the test in automatic and get a license for both manual and automatic without code 78.
If you have a card with code 78, you can upgrade by taking a practical test in a manual car. If successful, the restriction is removed, and you may drive both.
It happens – and that’s okay. We review the test together, practice targeted, and book a new attempt when you are ready. The goal is calm and a sure pass next time.
Many of our students pass on the first try. We send you off only when you are ready – saving both time and nerves.
Yes, electric cars have automatic transmission, so the rules are the same as for automatic transmission. The requirements for manual lessons apply if you want to avoid restriction to automatic transmission.
Reacquisition means you have to get your driving license again after losing it – e.g. due to points, alcohol or a revocation. You must take a theory test and often also a driving test.
Conditional: You may continue driving but must pass a new driving test within a deadline. Unconditional: You hand in the license and may not drive for a period. Afterwards, you can reacquire by new tests.
Yes. We create a targeted course with theory and driving, so you refresh the rules and technique. We prepare you for the tests – and for driving safely again.
You can start when you are 16 years and 9 months old. You can only take the driving test when you are 17 years old. We help with planning so you get off to a good start.
Yes. You need a medical certificate from your own doctor as part of your driving license application before you can take the theory test.
Valid ID, proof of completed lessons and school car (which we provide). Your driving instructor will review everything with you well before the test.
